— About The Project

As a result of Georgia Senate Bill 202 (SB202), voters across the state will need to understand and adhere to new rules for 2022. In collaboration with Secure the Vote, an inclusive education initiative funded by the state of Georgia, Fitzco asked Creative Mammals to create an animated social campaign covering this year’s absentee ballot process, early and election-day voting.

— Considerations

The goal of this campaign was to educate voters, and not distract from the information by overcomplicating the design or animation. With only :15 for each animated spot, we needed to be strategic in highlighting key words, phrases, and imagery, in order to convey the messaging within a short time frame. And because the animations would be shared via social media, it was imperative that the information came across clearly, both with and without voiceover.

— Our Approach

Tone-on-tone photography mixed with clean, dynamic typography served as the basis for the campaign’s overall aesthetic, ensuring the messaging took front-and-center, while also providing visual cues for key items voters will need in order to cast their ballots. In addition to being Secure the Vote’s brand colors, we used a reduced color palette of red, white, and blue, because… ‘Merica! Each animation is brought to a close with a call to action and URL encouraging Georgians to visit the My Voter Registration page.
